Apple ships iOS 4.1, patches FaceTime flaw

Quashes 24 security bugs, targets problems with proximity sensor, Bluetooth and degraded iPhone 3G performance

September 8, 2010

This is an article that came out on September 8, 2010 introducing Apple to release the iOS 4.1 update for its iPhone and iPod Touch.  Apple rushed the iPhone to the public shortly after the Sprint Evo came out with two dozen security vulnerabilities rated as being critical.  This also happened with the first ever in the firm’s FaceTime video calling software.

Apple iPhone and iPod Touch  users need to download this update with between 308MB and 590MB in size depending on the destination device, hit Apple's download servers shortly after 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday and downloaded iOS 4.1 without problems.

The iOS 4.1 was supposed to update and fix the problems the iOS 4.0 users were complaining about like the ever since the day it came out on June 21, 2010.-- ranging from "high dynamic range" (HDR) photography to the Apple's Game Center multi-player online network.  People, who have the older iPhone 3 G, have flooded Apple's support forum with complaints of degraded performance since they upgraded to iOS 4.0.

Other problems were supposed to be fixed like with Bluetooth connectivity and the iPhone's proximity sensor.   The issue was that the sensor didn't deactivate the touch screen when the smartphone was held up to their faces.  This would cause dropped calls, or muted their calls, and "face-dialed" numbers.

Apple also had difficulties with the FaceTime calls where the call could be redirected from the bug it had, Apple said.  Not only did they have problems with the iOS with the WebKit open source browser which supports the Safari on the mobile version it also had difficulties on desktops with Google’s Chrome browser.

Apple’s Aaron Sigel reported the system should be fixed with the iOS 4.1 upgrade to the iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G, as well as the iPod Touches introduced in 2008, 2009. Unfortunately, the oldest of Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch don’t support iOS 4 upgrade.

The article reports Apple requires users to download iOS 4.1 to their Windows PC or Mac using iTunes, then sync their iPod Touches or iPhones to the machine to install the upgrade.

Understanding Herpes Triggers

There are many people who are being diagnosed at a high rate with herpes simplex virus whether be type 1 (cold sores) or type 2 (genital). This is a virus you can’t cure but it can be treated with medication. Other ways of preventing outbreaks can understand the ways the herpes virus can be triggered. A good way to prevent outbreaks is by having good hygiene, getting proper sleep, exercise, and eating right. This also goes with having positive self esteem. If you have positive self esteem, you will be more aware of the way your body reacts, if you get sick. When the immune system gets run down, the body will get sick, and then you will have an outbreak of the herpes virus whether by cold sores or genital herpes. The nerve cells lie dormant in the nerve cells in the lower portion of your back. When the body gets sick, the herpes simplex virus get released from the nerve cells stored in the lower back and the place of where you were infected will be where the outbreak happens.

Many people believe cold sores are only when someone gets sick and it breaks out. This is information people need to learn because it does come out when you are sick, but it is from the herpes simplex virus type 1. When you have an outbreak, just means that your body’s immune system has been run down or is low, this triggers the herpes simplex virus to cause an outbreak. Other ways the virus is triggered is by being in the sun, rapid weather changes, stress, depression, menstruation, sexual intercourse, and what was said earlier immune suppression. As you can see there are many causes that can cause you to have an outbreak.

If you are aware of what your body feels like when your immune system is running low, then you could start doing preventative measures to reduce the number of outbreaks you have in a year. You could either get some sleep or if you have the paresthesia feeling in an area that you have the outbreaks then take your medication and you could prevent the outbreak from actually coming out. Being aware of how your body reacts is very important for you to know so you can stay healthy with as few outbreaks as possible. The fewer outbreaks you have will help you feel happier as a person.

The triggers can happen very quickly, so if you don’t have your medications close to you then you may be in a position that you can’t get to your medications right away like being at work, which in turn would give the virus plenty of time to build and an outbreak would occur. If that happens then just taking medications won’t really do anything for you. Once the outbreak happens, taking your medications may decrease the amount of days but really won’t do as much as it could if you were able to use it when you feel the outbreak about to happen. Save you medication if you already have a full blown outbreak because its course has already started. Medication is very expensive and you should use it to prevent the outbreak.

Michael Vick's Herpes Settlement

The breaking news is that a woman came forward to charge a lawsuit against Michael Vick and accused him in infecting her with genital herpes. Michael Vick was accused of knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease. The attorney of Michael Vick is named Lawrence Woodward disclosed that there has been an undisclosed resolution of this case.

Sonya Elliott is a 26 year old health care worker went to get tested after having unprotected sex with Michael Vick back in April of 2003. Sonya documented a complaint with the Gwinnett County State Court. Sonya Elliott has contended that Michael Vick has apologized profusely because he knowingly had unprotected sex with her and transmitted the herpes simplex virus 2 (genital) to her. Sonya Elliott and Michael Vick came up with a resolution but it wasn’t disclosed to anyone. Vick has gone for treatment under a different name so no one would know under the name “Ron Mexico”.

Michael Vick has had major difficulties over the past 5 years going from being the all time leading rushing yards for a quarterback when he played for Atlanta Falcons, to going to prison for fighting dogs, and now infecting a woman with genital herpes. Would this of happened if she was famous? That is right, no. The reason for this question is because Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees has given herpes to 5 famous people that we know of and who knows how many women we don’t know of. Famous people resolve things out of court and out of the newspapers. They get the people who work for them to come to an arrangement.

When you think of celebrities then you would think they wouldn’t have herpes for it is always big news. There are many celebrities who have given others herpes to others like the lawsuit with Robin Williams, Liza Minnelli didn’t tell her husband till after they were married which played a role in their divorce, and now Michael Vick. Michael Vick has unfortunately has been having difficult times even though he is a sports star.

Why don’t celebrities go on a herpes dating site to find a partner? Exactly, because the celebrity would be in the newspapers and all over the tabloids, let alone not knowing they would find the perfect partner whether it was for love or because of the fame and fortune. If anyone is part of this group then they need to go to the completely free herpes dating site and free HPV dating site at H-Bond.com. This herpes singles dating site and HPV singles dating site will help all of the celebrities or non celebrities in finding their perfect partner.

It would be nice if celebrities would come out and own up to being diagnosed with herpes to show the environment everyone is susceptible to contracting a sexually transmitted disease. If celebrities came out and spoke about the numbers of people infected, then the social stigma would change. When there are 1 million people being diagnosed each year or 70% of the United states has herpes simplex 1 (cold sores) or the 25% of the people having herpes simplex 2 (genital) then the social stigma needs to change with these types of numbers.

While Michael Vick is going through having to settle with Sonya on giving her herpes, if you look on the Hollywood herpes tree shows that Derek Jeter is on a herpes spreading spree.  He has affected 18 people's lives that we know of and countless people we don't.  What was the outcome of all the people we know he gave it to? Well, we most likely won’t find out, but this needs to stop. Like I said above, if you want to meet herpes singles instead of changing ones' life forever then go to H-Bond.com.  A completely free herpes dating site and free HPV dating site.  This free site can save you millions in legal and settlement fees.
