Experimental genital herpes vaccine fails major clinical trial

This article spoke about the experimental vaccine Simplirix for failing a major clinical trial for this was to try and get the manufacturers approval this past week.  GlaxoSmithKline won’t be making any other attempts in developing the vaccine.

The article went on to talk about herpes simplex virus of type 1 cold sores or type 2 genital it would be effective in preventing from the skin to skin contact.  This vaccine failed so there won’t be a vaccine coming out any time soon to prevent herpes.  It would be such a help to the people if there was a vaccine for the herpes virus migrates to the nerve cells to remain permanently until an outbreak.  Herpes can cause severe problems with infants and there are no cures for herpes.
